Electrophoretic coating or painting is an industrial process which uses an electric field to deposit particles of paint onto a material, usually metal fabricated products. The process is used for many kinds of applications such as coating vehicles, industrial equipment, metal furniture and drinks cans. This provides a consistent coating which is non-porous, is generally more environmentally friendly than alternative processes and also enables the insides of the clamps to be coated as well as the outside. The coating is water based and non-toxic which dries smooth and can be used in more aggressive environments such as marine or high humidity due to its high corrosion resistance. The result is a smooth, semi-gloss finish.
