Galvanised palisade fencing in 1.8m and 2.4m heights

Secure your perimeter with galvanised steel palisade fencing from The Metal Store. Our 2.75m fencing bay kits are available in 1.8m and 2.4m heights, featuring 2mm W-section pales and a choice of bolt-down or concrete-in posts.

Each bay is supplied as a kit of separate parts for assembly on-site, rather than a pre-assembled panel.

Choose your height and post type, then add the finishing posts and installation accessories required for your fencing run.

What is palisade fencing used for?

Steel palisade fencing is used to define and secure commercial and industrial boundaries, including yards, warehouses and storage areas. Upright steel pales are fixed to horizontal rails between posts, creating a physical barrier while maintaining visibility through the fence.

Whether you’re creating a new perimeter or extending an existing boundary, check that the fencing specification meets your site and project requirements before ordering.

Choose your palisade fencing bay kit

Our galvanised palisade security fencing is available in four configurations:

  • 1.8m high palisade fencing bay kit with bolt-down posts
  • 1.8m high palisade fencing bay kit with concrete-in posts
  • 2.4m high palisade fencing bay kit with bolt-down posts
  • 2.4m high palisade fencing bay kit with concrete-in posts

Each bay is 2.75m wide and features galvanised steel W-section pales with a thickness of 2mm. The 2mm measurement refers to the pales, rather than the posts, rails or other components.

Choose 1.8m (1800mm) or 2.4m (2400mm) fencing to match your required boundary height. If you’re matching existing fencing, check the bay dimensions, pale profile and post type before purchasing.

What’s included in each palisade fencing kit?

Each standard two-rail bay kit includes:

  • 1 × palisade post
  • 17 × W-section palisade pales
  • 1 × top rail
  • 1 × bottom rail
  • 2 × fishplates
  • 1 × palisade bolt pack

Each bolt pack contains 4 × M12 bolts with shear nuts and 34 × M8 bolts with shear nuts.

Each bay kit includes one post. An additional finishing post is required to complete a standalone straight run of fencing.

Adjacent bays share posts, while corners and changes in direction may require additional components.

The following items are not included and may need to be purchased separately:

  • M12 anchor shields or resin anchors for bolt-down posts, selected to suit your foundation and installation requirements
  • Galvanising zinc touch-up spray for treating areas where the protective coating has been damaged during handling or installation

Bolt-down or concrete-in palisade fencing?

Bolt-down posts have base plates for anchoring to a suitable concrete foundation. Ground anchors are not included and must be selected to suit the foundation and site conditions.

Concrete-in posts, also known as dig-in posts, are set into excavated holes and secured with concrete.

The right option depends on your ground conditions and installation requirements. Check these before selecting your posts and arranging installation.

What is galvanised W-section palisade fencing?

The individual upright steel strips in palisade fencing are called pales. “W section” describes their shaped cross-section. Our range uses 2mm W-section steel pales in both fence heights.

The galvanised finish provides a protective zinc coating to help resist corrosion during outdoor use and gives the fencing its characteristic metallic appearance.
