Frequently asked questions

What is a scaffold base jack?

A scaffold base jack, sometimes called a screw jack or base plate, is an important component used within scaffolding systems. It allows for safe and efficient work at different height levels, due to its adjustable base.

How do I choose the right scaffold base jack for my project?

Choosing the best scaffold base jack for your project depends on a few different factors. These include your capacity required, the type of scaffolding system you are using and the terrain of the construction site in question. All of these will affect the type of base jack that you need.

How often should you inspect scaffold base jacks for wear and tear?

You should inspect each scaffold base jack at different moments throughout a project. Inspecting before is a good way to ensure there are no problems before work begins. Secondly, you should check throughout the project, especially if the scaffold base jacks are affected by intense weather like rain, snow or harsh sunlight. You should also inspect them at the end of the project if you want to reuse them. Doing so will ensure that they can carry their load and create a safe environment.
