What are drop forged scaffold fittings?

Drop forging shapes heated steel between dies to form a component. In scaffolding, this process is used to manufacture a range of couplers and fittings for joining tubes and making other connections within a scaffold assembly.

The fitting you need depends on the connection you are making. Double couplers connect scaffold tubes at right angles, while swivel couplers allow angled connections, such as those used for diagonal bracing. Other fittings serve specific purposes, including joining tube ends or connecting scaffold tube to structural steelwork.

Our drop forged scaffold fitting range

Our range includes:

Single couplers: For putlog and transom connections in the appropriate scaffold arrangement.
Double couplers: For connecting two scaffold tubes at a 90-degree angle.
Swivel couplers: For connecting scaffold tubes at an angle.
Prop double and prop swivel couplers: For compatible prop-to-tube connections.
Joint pins: For internal, end-to-end scaffold tube connections.
Fixed and swivel girder couplers: For connecting scaffold tube to suitable structural steel sections.
Board retaining brackets and half swivels: For additional fixing requirements.

Check the specification of each fitting for its dimensions, intended use and any applicable load ratings. The manufacturing method alone does not determine whether a fitting is suitable for a particular connection.

Need scaffold tube or boards too?
