Electrophoretic coating or painting is an industrial process which uses an electric field to deposit particles of paint onto a material, usually metal fabricated products.
This provides a consistent coating which is non-porous, is generally more environmentally friendly than alternative processes and also enables the insides of the clamps to be coated as well as the outside. The coating is water based and non-toxic which dries smooth.
The result is a smooth, semi-gloss finish.
We would recommend that these clamps are only used indoors with our "Black" 33.7mm external diameter mild steel tube.
Please note our 33.7mm Tube is not the same finish as the Electrophoretic clamps but is a Mild Steel Circular Hollow Section which is the closest match. As the tubes are Mild Steel these will contain grease which should come off once rubbed down with a cloth. As the tubes are purchased from numerous mills the finish on the tubes can vary in appearance (black/grey) If you require a finish that is closer to the clamps you would need to purchase tube which is powder coated.
